Caring for Your Hearing Aids

Hearing aids are an investment in better hearing and better quality of life. Your investment will last longer with regular maintenance and proper care.

The two biggest enemies of hearing aids, moisture and ear wax, can cause your hearing aids to malfunction and need costly repairs. How can you best protect your investment?

First, a regularly scheduled cleaning and check of your hearing aids by your provider is essential. Second, daily cleanings of your hearing aids at home can help prevent wax build-up. These two things will prolong the life of your hearing aids and ensure that small issues don’t become large ones.

Many products are available to help you care for your hearing aids. Audiowipes™ are specially formulated anti-bacterial wipes that clean and disinfect the surface of your hearing aids. Additionally, the Dry & Store® and Dry Spot® are designed to absorb damaging moisture.

All three of these products are available at your nearest Hearing Health Care Centers office.
